ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Transport
It is the responsibility of parents/guardians to organise drop off and pick up from the venue at the start and end of every day. Participants will be walking to venues within the central city.
Clothing
There will be some sort of active requirement each day, so clothing suggestion would be something participants can easily move around in, trainers and a rain jacket.
Food
Participants to provide lunch, drink, and any medication.
DAY 1
WORKSHOP 1 / SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
The Big Give
ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY WORKSHOP
Teams are challenged to come up with the most creative and effective way to benefit a specific charity or community organisation using their time and resources. Each team will be given details of a chosen charity or community organisation. It’s then up to the team to decide how they can “Give the Biggest” using their budget, time and resources.
As the teams arrive back, each team makes a small presentation back to the group to explain where they went, what they did, and the effect this has had on the charity or organisation, and on themselves as individuals and as a team!

Confidence in Action
BODY LANGUAGE WORKSHOP
The workshop focuses on learning some key body language and communication techniques to raise confidence, clarity and conviction when communicating. This fun and experiential workshop will include: Vocal Skills (articulation, projection, modulation), Body Language (posture, eye contact), Dealing with nerves, stress and anxiety, Building Self Esteem, Character and Confidence.

Kate Hurst – Head Held High
Head Held High works through a number of Auckland schools to develop communication skills, character and confidence.
Kate is registered as a Dance and Drama secondary school teacher under the NZ teaching board. ATCL Diploma in Speech and Drama awarded by the Trinity College of London. Kate is a well-respected public speaker, who is often called upon to speak at public functions. Nine years’ experience teaching Speech and Drama, Dance and Public Speaking. Kate has taught hundreds of people in West Africa, Cambodia, London, Auckland, Nelson and Christchurch.

PRESENTING WORKSHOP
We bring to life the skills learnt in Kate’s session through a simulated television studio experience. Not only will everyone get a taste of television being made behind the scenes but they will learn that teamwork and roles within teams are essential tools to deliver great results.

Get Animated
ANIMATION WORKSHOP
Language and numerical literacy are both promoted in our education curriculum, however we know sight is our primary sense. Through a short course on basic animation we will showcase the magic of bringing your ideas to life. But more importantly that everyone is capable of drawing and that communicating through this medium is fun and effective.

Introduction to Fitness & Nutrition
FITNESS & NUTRITION WORKSHOP
This workshop will start by giving a taste of the fun of group fitness, followed by a session on the basics of balanced nutrition, and finish with a high intensity, short burst interval programme. AMP30 class is a high intensity, short burst interval programme which delivers maximum results in 30 minutes – it will help develop and improve strength, power and speed.
