PROBLEM SOLVING AND GROUP DYNAMICS
Escapade unlocks potential. Everyone learns about themselves, their competencies and their team matess in a dynamic, engaging environment that boosts team unity and engagement, as well as fostering appreciation of different approaches and styles.
It’s the ultimate in ‘gamified’ learning and development, delivering:
- – A fast paced game environment that highlights different personal styles, ways of thinking and skills to succeed—boosting appreciation of other people’s skills.
- – A fun, time pressured situation that demands collaboration and communication to compete effectively—improving teamwork and delegation.
- – A ‘live’ development experience that quickly builds self-awareness and respect for others.
Escapade is exciting, challenging, and totally different: just about the best fun you can have in a locked room. Escape games have already taken London, Singapore and Melbourne by storm, and now New Zealand has its own version!
You are locked in a room, there’s a mystery to be solved, and the clock’s ticking! Using your observational skills, problem solving ability, street smarts and common sense, you need to decipher a set of tricky clues and puzzles as you and your team race to find the answers and escape.
WORKSHOP 2 / LIFE SKILLS
Introduction to First Aid
FIRST AID WORKSHOP
St John Youth programmes help young New Zealanders to develop first aid, health care, leadership and life skills. The development programmes we run for young people – ages 6 to 18 – have the right balance of education and fun. In our introduction workshop we will focus on scene assessment, priority actions and CPR. Everybody should have some level of first aid ability, because accidents and medical emergencies can happen anywhere at any time. St John First Aid courses give you the knowledge and confidence to provide effective first aid whenever it’s needed.
St John is at the frontline of medical response, providing Ambulance Services throughout New Zealand. We’re also part of a much broader picture of health care, through our provision of first aid training, event medical services, AEDs (defibrillators), first aid kits and supplies, medical alarms, youth groups and a wide https://www.cialissansordonnancefr24.com/generique-cialis/ range of community programmes

Confidence and Courage
CONFIDENCE AND COURAGE WORKSHOP
Nestled in the treetops of the beautiful Woodhill Forest, students will be participating in the High Flyer adventure option (courses 5-8) suited to confident first timers. Please note we will be providing transport to and from the city.
Tree Adventures is an exciting outdoor activity with 10 different courses ranging from 3 to 14 metres above the ground, there’s something for everyone. Each course has a series of fun and challenging activities that wind their way through the treetops, ending with an exhilarating flying fox ride to bring you swiftly back down to earth –
Tree Adventures provide a safe, challenging and encouraging environment, and our staff are very experienced in facilitating groups of all ages and sizes. The physical nature of the Tree Adventures activities gives young adults the opportunity to develop fundamental skills, such as agility, balance, co-ordination and confidence.
Tree Adventures uses the ultra safe Clic-it system. This revolutionary smart belay system safeguards against accidental disconnection from the safety lines at all times. Once you are attached at the start of the course, you can’t disconnect until you are back on the ground at the other end.
All participants must undertake a safety briefing with an instructor before they begin. This establishes the correct safety methods and gives you the opportunity to practise before you make your way onto the courses. Participants are responsible for keeping themselves attached to the safety system at all times. Instructors are stationed throughout the park to supervise from the ground and are able to assist whenever necessary.
