Transport
It is the responsibility of parents/guardians to organise drop off and pick up from the venue at the start and end of every day. Participants will be walking to venues within the central city.
Clothing
There will be some sort of active requirement each day, so clothing suggestion would be something participants can easily move around in, trainers and a rain jacket.
Food
Participants to provide lunch, drink, and any medication.

Escapade is exciting, challenging, and totally different: just about the best fun you can have in a locked room. Escape games have already taken London, Singapore and Melbourne by storm, and now New Zealand has its own version!
You are locked in a room, there’s a mystery to be solved, and the clock’s ticking! Using your observational skills, problem solving ability, street smarts and common sense, you need to decipher a set of tricky clues and puzzles as you and your team race to find the answers and escape.

Introduction to First Aid
FIRST AID WORKSHOP
St John Youth programmes help young New Zealanders to develop first aid, health care, leadership and life skills. The development programmes we run for young people – ages 6 to 18 – have the right balance of education and fun. In our introduction workshop we will focus on scene assessment, priority actions and CPR. Everybody should have some level of first aid ability, because accidents and medical emergencies can happen anywhere at any time. St John First Aid courses give you the knowledge and confidence to provide effective first aid whenever it’s needed.

Confidence and Courage
CONFIDENCE AND COURAGE WORKSHOP
Nestled in the treetops of the beautiful Woodhill Forest, students will be participating in the High Flyer adventure option (courses 5-8) suited to confident first timers. Please note we will be providing transport to and from the city.
Tree Adventures is an exciting outdoor activity with 10 different courses ranging from 3 to 14 metres above the ground, there’s something for everyone. Each course has a series of fun and challenging activities that wind their way through the treetops, ending with an exhilarating flying fox ride to bring you swiftly back down to earth –
Tree Adventures provide a safe, challenging and encouraging environment, and our staff are very experienced in facilitating groups of all ages and sizes. The physical nature of the Tree Adventures activities gives young adults the opportunity to develop fundamental skills, such as agility, balance, co-ordination and confidence.

Tree Adventures uses the ultra safe Clic-it system. This revolutionary smart belay system safeguards against accidental disconnection from the safety lines at all times. Once you are attached at the start of the course, you can’t disconnect until you are back on the ground at the other end.
All participants must undertake a safety briefing with an instructor before they begin. This establishes the correct safety methods and gives you the opportunity to practise before you make your way onto the courses. Participants are responsible for keeping themselves attached to the safety system at all times. Instructors are stationed throughout the park to supervise from the ground and are able to assist whenever necessary.

Introduction to DIY
DIY WORKSHOP
In this workshop we’ll be learning some basic DIY skills on a couple of projects that the students will be able to bring home the fruits of their labour.

Stan Scott has been a builder for 25 years, and started working behind the scenes on many DIY shows, which then progressed to working in front of the camera with the opportunity to be host/builder/presenter on DIY Rescue, The Fence, Trade Wars, and Mitre 10 Dream Home. His current role with Mitre 10 really is his dream job –he gets to meet lots of people, teach adults and children to build and still work on great building projects.

CIRCUS WORKSHOP
Run away and join the circus!! Learn how to balance, juggle, hoop, tumble and climb to the rafters! A day of mad fun.
The Dust Palace mission is to present fun, exhilarating circus and theatrical entertainment which is intimate and visually stunning. Students will be participating in an aerial workshop as well as a circus based workshop featuring juggling, hula, and balance acrobatics.
